User Agreement

Access to and use of this website is conditional upon your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our website. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms and Conditions, you must not use this website.

Any use of the Travel Empire website or written/electronic communication with Travel Empire for the purpose of travel arrangements confirms that you are 18 years of age or older and that you have read, understood, and fully accepted these Terms and Conditions. These Terms are designed to protect all parties involved.

Booking Conditions

The Travel Empire website is owned and operated by Travel Empire (Private) Limited, with offices located in Sri Lanka. We work with a wide network of hotels, transport providers, airlines, guides, and other service suppliers in Sri Lanka and overseas.

When bookings or purchases are made through our website, the individual terms and conditions of the respective suppliers will also apply in addition to these Terms. Customers are responsible for reviewing supplier policies, which are available upon request.

Offer and Availability: Nothing on this website constitutes a binding offer. All content represents an invitation for you to make an offer to purchase travel services. All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.

Confirmation: A booking is confirmed only after written confirmation from the client, receipt of full payment or deposit, and acknowledgement of payment by Travel Empire.

Payments & Pricing

Booking Your Holiday:

• A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm a booking (unless otherwise stated).
• For peak season bookings, a 50% advance payment is required.
• Bookings made within 30 days of arrival require full payment at confirmation.

Final Payment: The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days prior to arrival in Sri Lanka. Failure to do so may result in cancellation without refund.

Methods of Payment: Bank Transfer or Credit/Debit Card (Visa / MasterCard). Bank transfer charges outside Sri Lanka must be borne by the sender.

Price Policy: All prices are subject to change due to factors beyond our control, including currency fluctuations, government taxes, and supplier price increases.

Amendments & Cancellations

A USD 100 amendment fee applies per change (excluding supplier charges). Cancellations must be submitted in writing and take effect upon receipt.

*Airline cancellation charges apply as per airline policies. No refunds for unused services or early departures.

Health, Passports & Flights

Documents: Clients are responsible for obtaining valid passports, visas, required vaccinations, and medical clearances. Travel Empire is not liable for denied entry.

Flights: Reconfirmation of flights is the client’s responsibility. Clients must keep Travel Empire informed of any flight schedule changes.

Insurance: Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all travelers. Acceptance of a booking confirms that adequate insurance has been arranged.

Responsibility & Conduct

Travel Empire acts as a coordinator and booking agent. We accept liability only where loss or injury arises from proven negligence on our part and only for services directly arranged by us.

We are not responsible for supplier failures, force majeure events, weather conditions, Acts of God, strikes, delays, or political unrest.

Accommodation: Facilities may be unavailable due to maintenance or operational reasons. Alternative arrangements of similar standard will be provided where necessary.

Behavior: Disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in termination of services without refund.

Legal & Privacy

Governing Law: These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.

Complaints: Must be reported immediately to the service provider. Written complaints must be submitted within 28 days of return.

Data Protection: Personal information is treated confidentially and protected under our anti-fraud and data security policies.

Indemnification: You agree to indemnify Travel Empire against any claims arising from misuse of the website or breach of these Terms.
